Nechisar National Park

The Nechisar National Park (514 square kilometers or 199 square miles) has a large variety of flora and fauna. It is also home of hippos, zebras, baboons and several species of antelope. About fifteen percent of the territory comprises major portions of two lakes: Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo. The remarkable think is that the Lake Chamo has blue water and the white sandy beaches, while the water of Lake Abaya usually is reddish brown. The park also covers the neck of land between the Lakes, called the Bridge of God, which supports groundwater forest.
