The Hamer lives between the konso and the more southern Lake Turkana and Lake Chew Bahir. They are a mix of black-African immigrants, who arrived here one and a half centuries ago. They are the most richly decorated people of Ethiopia. The Hamers are eye-catching because of their clothes, hairdo and embellishments. Women go dressed in goatskin aprons; they leave their breast bare or cover them with a piece of goatskin.
