Ethiopian Coffee

Coffee, Ethiopia’s largest export crop is the backbone of the Ethiopian economy. The main coffee producing areas in Ethiopia are west and south west, southern, eastern, and central regions. On the basis of management level, vegetation, structural complexity, and agronomic practices, coffee production systems in Ethiopia can be categorized into four; namely: forest coffee (FC), semi-managed forest coffee (SFC), garden coffee (GC) and plantation Forest Coffee.
