
Mago National Park is bisected by the Mago River, which flows into the Omo on the park’s southern boundary and has an area of 2,162km². The park lays an altitude between 500m to 2,528 m above sea level. One hundred mammal species are recorded in this park. The major large mammals are buffalo, elephant, antelope, gerenuk, tiang, bushbuck, Lewel-hartebeest and greater and lesser kudu.
