Our country can be divided in roughly into five topographic regions: western highlands, southern highlands, Ethiopia rift valley, Afar and the Ogaden but today we just want to share you some idea about AFAR.Afar have a lot of descriptions in the world; some say afar is the hottest place on the earth and other say lowest place on the earth, the most hostile place on the earth and even they say it the hell- hole of creation. (Afar depression, Danakil depression, Danakil, Afar desert and Danakil desert). As a lot of geologist say a lot of thing about Afar, they try to predict that Afar will breakout from Ethiopia in the future. (Source understanding Ethiopia Geology and scenery by france m.
